Republic Capital Group served as the exclusive financial advisor to Wealthcare Capital Management and NewSpring Holdings on Wealthcare’s entering into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Sammons Financial Group.

Wealthcare Capital Management is a Registered Investment Advisor headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, with an additional office in Philadelphia. The firm operates through a network of nearly 200 affiliated independent advisors serving more than 12,000 clients nationwide, with $8 billion in total assets under management. Wealthcare is built around a proprietary goals-based planning methodology, holding 12 patents on its planning process, including its Comfort Zone® technology, and has been recognized by Barron’s as a top 100 RIA firm for five consecutive years.

Sammons Financial Group is an employee-owned financial services organization based in the Midwest, with offices across Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, and South Dakota; the acquisition expands its footprint in the wealth management and independent advisor space. NewSpring Holdings, Wealthcare’s prior owner, is a private equity firm founded in 1999 that manages more than $3.5 billion across five distinct investment strategies.
